Registration with the German authorities
The German authorities are now providing help in a very unbureaucratic manner. However, this requires registration at the Citizens' Registration Office or registration at the employment office, etc. There is also the possibility of free insurance for refugees upon arrival in European countries. Therefore, it is highly recommended to help each refugee claim social benefits as soon as possible.
Here is a short documentation of the essential steps:
Immigration Office (ABH)
New arrivals need to register immediately at the local immigration office, preferably with an email address for a faster process with current residential address, copy of passport, entry stamp and other identification documents. Details of all data + entry date + pet + illnesses/disabilities + immediate job offer.
AsylbLG
Individuals will be contacted via email within a few days. Content: a compressed application for benefits + translated application. Asset allowance of €200 per person

School/kindergarten
Compulsory schooling applies, but only becomes serious from 6 months. BUT it is best to register immediately at school / kindergarten so that you can plan better!
